Description
Panel probably cut down from a woman’s coif embroidered in multicoloured silk and silver-gilt threads in a rinceau pattern of coiling stems ending in flowers with birds worked in Ceylon, chain, detached buttonhole, double buttonhole, up-and-down buttonhole, stem and woven wheel stitches, decorated with spangles. Part of the Burrell Collection.
